Some Subheading

Hello! I'm helen.

I’m a connector, a South African who has worked in 43 countries and I believe I bring a fresh perspective to personal branding, networking and mindfulness.I grew up in a family where my parents didn’t know people who knew people. They were not connected or connectors. Their networks didn’t serve them. Growing up I saw this resulted in many stresses from not knowing who to call when the garage needed fixing, to always struggling to have enough money to feed and educate four children. They were also introverts. I had a friend at school who grew up in a very different home - her father had been to one of those boys schools where the boys actively help each other after school in a powerful boys network. As a result of this network, their family didn’t seem to experience the same level of stresses that my family did. I later realised after watching powerful connectors in action - that this was a learned skill. These connectors all has things in common, which meant the skill of personal branding and networking could be taught. I have devoted the last 20 years of my careers to speaking at conferences all over the world and facilitating workshops to help people unleash their Brand (You) Pty Ltd and how to collaborate and increase their influence through their network. My journey to researching Mindfulness happened in the last 10 years after experiencing burnout and realising many people were feeling overwhelmed and tired all the time. I attended the Corporate Athlete programme in Orlando in Florida which inspired me personally to go on and run the New York Marathon in 2011. I have subsequently written a bestselling book “Mindfulness: How to stay sane in an insane world” outlining my journey to mindfulness through practical tools, which make immediate impact in people’s lives. I was a single mother of identical twin daughters for over 13 years, until I married my husband Michael. My twins are now 27 - Caitlyn works in the business with me and Sabrina is working in London.
